Parañaque LGU resumes distribution of allowances to public school students
The Parañaque city government resumed the distribution of allowances to public high school students on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said he met with City Treasurer Dr. Anthony Pulmano after receiving a letter from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) stating the temporary suspension of the student allowance disbursement due to the incoming barangay elections.
He said the city government was able to proceed with the distribution of the allowances after obtaining a clearance from Comelec.
The mayor visited the distribution rollouts in Sto. Niño National High School, Parañaque Science High School, Sto. Niño Senior High School in Barangay Sto. Niño; San Antonio National High School, Masville National High School, Marcelo Green National High School, Sun Valley National High School, Moonwalk National High School, and Don Bosco National High School.
Each student received P3,000, covering the period of January to June.
He said junior and senior high school students were the first batch who got their allowances. Distribution will continue until Sept. 22.
Meanwhile, elementary school students will avail of their allowances from Sept 26. to 29.
