NPD, QCPD seize P170,000 'shabu', arrest 6 drug suspects in buy-bust ops

Operatives from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches Station (PS 4) and Northern Police District (NPD) confiscated around P170,000 worth of illegal drugs from six suspects in separate buy-busts in Quezon and Caloocan Cities on Thursday, Sept. 21.
In the first operation, members of PS 4 seized P102,000 worth of alleged shabu from suspects Reymarc Calceta, 27, and Maria Nicole Repollo, 24, both residents of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
Police said the suspects were nabbed after a policeman who posed as a buyer successfully purchased P7,500 worth of alleged shabu from them at Susano Road, Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches at around 5 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Aside from the illegal drugs, a motorcycle, a .38-caliber revolver with four live bullets were confiscated from Calceta.
Meanwhile, NPD operatives apprehended alias “Bodo”, 39; alias “Boy”, 30; alias “Dondon”, 40; and alias “Judith”, 40, all residents of Barangay 12, Caloocan City in an entrapment operation around 2:44 a.m. on Sept. 21 in Barangay 12, Caloocan City.
Seized from them were P68,000 worth of shabu, the buy-bust money, a blue sling bag, a cellular phone, a black leather holster, drug paraphernalia, and a .38-caliber Armscor 2015 revolver with six live bullets.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
Also, charges for violation RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the Omnibus Election Code in relation to the election gun ban will be filed against suspect Calceta and alias “Dondon.”
