Gunrunner nabbed in Batangas buy-bust

SAN JUAN, Batangas – Police arrested a suspected gunrunner in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion, this town, on Wednesday morning, September 20.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Batangas identified the suspect as Pableo Macaraig.

Macaraig was apprehended after he sold a caliber 9mm and a caliber .45 pistol with magazines and ammunition to a police poseur-buyer.

Suspect is in the custody of the CIDG-Batangas and faces charges for violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act) and the Commission on Elections gun ban for the barangays elections next month.
