That’s how Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Secretary-General Atty. Edwin Gastanes described the current state of the Filipinas (national women’s football team).

Gastanes, who is being groomed to be the next PFF supremo, said the Filipinas arrived in this ancient but bustling city oozing with confidence.
And who would not be?
Members of the gallant team who impressed the basketball-crazy nation with their impressive showing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup just received their $30,000 bonus (roughly P1.65 million) from the world richest sporting body.
“Kabibigay lang namin ng bonus nila from FIFA so I am sure they are again raring to show their stuff,” said Gastanes.
Even members of the pool who were cut days before the world biggest attraction started also got their share.
“Not as big as the members of the team pero malaki na rin,” he added.
