Doria leads mandatory drug tests for Mimaropa cops

At least 42 policemen from the Police Regional Office 4B have been subjected to a surprise drug test in a bid to purge the police organization of drug users.

PRO4B director Brig. Gen. Joel Doria himself underwent the drug tests that were conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the regional headquarters in Calapan City.

Doria said the move is part of the PNP’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism within the organization in the Mimaropa (Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan).

"This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity within our organization," said Doria.

"The surprise drug testing is not only a demonstration of our dedication to maintaining a drug-free organization but also a symbol of our resolve to be at the forefront of ethical and moral conduct in all our activities," he added.

The drug tests, carried out by the Regional Forensic Unit of PRO 4B, yielded negative results.
