Negotiations to secure add'l jabs from COVAX continue
The Department of Health (DOH) said it has administered 95.30 percent of the bivalent Covid-19 vaccine donations as booster doses, strengthening protection against the virus, as of Thursday, Sept. 21.

DOH said it is still negotiating with the COVAX Facility for additional doses of bivalent Covid-19 vaccines.
“The DOH has been actively engaged in negotiations with the COVAX Facility and Gavi to secure a more substantial vaccine allocation for the country,” it said.
“At present, the DOH is in the process of finalizing legal instruments to facilitate effective allocation of the vaccines until the end of the year,” it added.
DOH pointed out that the definite timetable on the arrival of the additional bivalent vaccines has yet to be determined. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
