When one mentions whisky, it’s hard not to think up lavish scenarios to go along with it. Perhaps you’re thinking of a CEO enjoying a glass as he marvels at the view from his office many stories up. Or maybe you’re thinking of a Hollywood superstar downing her drink by the poolside as she relaxes in her enormous mansion. One thing’s for sure, whisky deserves its status as a luxurious drink due to the work that goes into producing such a fine liquor.

After all, producing whisky is no simple task. The process begins with picking out the right type of grain for mixing with water and yeast to undergo fermentation, after which the mix is strained before undergoing distillation, a process that separates the alcohol from the water. It entails heating up the mix until it evaporates and collecting the vapor as it recondenses into a liquid. Its final step is the aging process, which places the recondensed alcohol mix inside a casket, where it will stay for many years to soak up whatever flavors the mixers put in.

It's a two-story lounge hidden away in a peaceful corner of the mall, isolated enough to provide a perfect escape from the hubbub of the outside world. Upon entry, the first sight that will probably catch your eye is the marvelous display of available liquor bottles behind the bar. It’s so large that bartenders have a ladder ready on hand for reaching some of the drinks in higher places.

If you thought that was all, another good look around would reveal even more shelves with top-tier drinks on display for customers to pick from. Of the 240+ drinks being offered, the Dalmore Constellation Series is a standout choice for a fine whisky experience.

The bartenders are also skilled in serving unique mixes inspired by Hollywood icons such as Hammer Time, a Tamnavulin Double Cask single malt mix inspired by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor portrayal, and the Devil Fashioned, a Buffalo Trace Bourbon mix inspired by The Devil Wears Prada star Meryl Streep. Best paired with the whisky are the many selections of cigars on offer at The Whisky Library.
