Olivarez said the “discipline zone” program in Barangay Baclaran was spearheaded by the local police under the supervision of Col. Reycon Garduque.

He said the “discipline zone” will be implemented, covering the area of Choweking Restaurant to 7-Eleven on Roxas Boulevard.

Under the “discipline zone” program, the police will strictly implement all the national laws, city government’s executive orders, city ordinances and other rules and regulations to ensure the peace and order in the community and the city.

Olivarez said Barangay Baclaran was considered as the busiest area in the city, especially during the conduct of Novena masses at the Mother of Perpetual Help Church every Wednesday.

He said the “discipline zone” program will surely protect the residents in the area and those visiting Barangay Baclaran from lawless elements.

Traffic and Parking Management Office Officer-in-Charge Reynaldo Murillo, 1st Congressional District Chief of Staff Atty. Fernando “Ding” C. Soriano representing Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, and Barangay Baclaran Chairman Jun Zaide also expressed support to the program.
