Parañaque LGU distributes cash aid to 2nd batch of small rice retailers

The Parañaque City government conducted the distribution of cash aid to the second batch of small rice retailer affected by the implementation of the rice price ceiling.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the city government conducted the distribution of P15,000 cash to 48 small rice retailers at the Parañaque City Hall grounds on Tuesday, Sept. 19, and was witnessed by representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). 

Olivarez said all qualified small rice retailers from different barangays in the city will received P15,000 cash aid under the sustainable livelihood program of the DSWD.

The cash aid is part of the national government's program to help small rice retailers affected by Executive Order No. 39 issued by President Marcos for the implementation of a  nationwide rice price ceiling on regular milled and well-milled rice in the market.
