Parañaque LGU awards winners of dengue campaign competition
The Parañaque city government recognized the barangays who won in the “Linis Ligtas Kontra Dengue” program competition in support of “Denguue Awareness Month” last June.

The awarding of winners was held on Monday, Sept. 18, at the Parañaque City Hall quadrangle.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the “Linis Ligtas Kontra Dengue” is an integrated activity launched in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), Infectious Disease Center, and the Health Promotion and Communication Unit of the city government.
The campaign aimed to eradicate dengue mosquito carriers in their community.
The mayor said the competition also served to maintain cleanliness in the community and keep it free from any diseases like dengue.
Barangay San Isidro, under chairman Noel Japlos, was declared the champion of the competition and was given a P5,000 cash prize. Barangay Moonwalk, under chairman Roberto Alano, won the first place with P3,000; and Barangay Sun Valley, under chairman Chucky Cortez, won the second place with P2,000.
Barangays San Antonio and Don Bosco were also recognized by the city government for their efforts in the campaign.
