Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan cited the city's accomplishments and unveiled future programs for the residents during his second State of the City Address (SOCA) on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

The SOCA was held at the Caloocan City Sports Complex.
It was attended by city government employees and officials, including Caloocan City Vice Mayor Karina Teh-Limsico, Caloocan Representative Congressman Oca Malapitan, Congressman Mitch Cajayon-Uy, and Congressman Dean Asistio, and the members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.

Mayor Malapitan emphasized the city government's ongoing and sustainable projects, which are designed to tackle local issues, particularly in areas of education, healthcare, and the local economy.
“You can be sure that we will do our best to be consistent in the excellence that we have shown. This will not stop after just one year. Instead, we will surpass it and ensure that the next generations of Batang Kankaloo will benefit from the programs),” Mayor Along said.
He also added that they will continue to provide livelihood packages, improving healthcare services, and prioritizing education.
We continue to provide livelihood packages to our citizens. We have also strengthened healthcare services, hospitals, and health centers. You also know that we prioritize education, especially in providing free tuition at UCC (University of Caloocan City) and continuous support to teachers and public schools. And of course, our city is consistently being recognized for delivering services),” he added.
Malapitan recognized the role of his constituents’ continuous support in his administration’s initiatives and vowed to keep on repaying the trust by working diligently to build a better and progressive city.

In all of these programs, what I want is for you to feel the action and the genuine care that we have promised. Fellow public servants and fellow Batang Kankaloo, with your help and the guidance of our Lord), we will make a difference and we will make great things happen to the historic and great City of Caloocan,” Mayor Malapitan stated.
Mayor Along, in his first SOCA, cited the fulfillment of certain campaign promises in his initial 100 days, particularly in implementing temporary solutions for prevailing problems at that time.
