Marcos meets new French, Swiss envoys

President Marcos has met the new French and Swiss ambassadors-designate to the Philippines.

Ambassador Designate of the Swiss Confederation Nicolas Bruhl and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Marie Fontanel presented their credentials to Marcos on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

The President welcomed both ambassadors in Malacañan Palace.

Ambassador Nicolas Bruhl was appointed as envoy to the Philippines in March this year.

Ambassador Marie Fontanel, on the other hand, arrived in the country in August 2023. She was a former adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron on solidarity, health and gender equality before being appointed as envoy to Europe.
