Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro graced the contract signing and orientation of more than 600 Bulakenyos for the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantage (TUPAD) program at the Bulacan Sports Complex on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
In his short message to the TUPAD beneficiaries, Castro said the Provincial Government of Bulacan, headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, will continue giving support to all Bulakenyos.

Castro thanked DOLE and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for coordinating to create opportunities for the province's displaced workers and vowed his continued support to them.
TUPAD is the government's neighborhood package of assistance that provides emergency employment to indigent workers.
Under the program, beneficiaries will have to render community work for 10 to 30 days, with their salaries based on the regional minimum wage.
