Bea Alonzo and Dennis Trillo, two of the Philippines' biggest stars, will appear together in GMA and Viu's romantic drama series called “Love Before Sunrise."
The story is about lost love and missed opportunities. It's centered around former lovers, Atom (played by Dennis) and Stella (played by Bea). They broke up when they realized they had found the right love but at the wrong time.
After many years, their paths cross again, and they regret losing each other, as both ended up in unhappy marriages.
Things get more complicated as they give in to their feelings and decide to continue their love even at a forbidden time.
During a recent media event, the main actors were asked what they would do if they were in Atom and Stella's shoes.
Bea, who is now engaged to Dominic Roque, gave a clear answer.
She said: "Unang-una, kasi as me, as Bea, hindi naman ako magpapakasal sa tao na hindi ko kayang bigyan ng full commitment ko."
"So siguro hindi mangyayari sa akin. Sana hindi naman ako subukin ni Lord. Pero sa tingin ko hindi ko din hahayaan yung sarili ko na pagdaanan pa yun because I'm fully committed to this person," she added.
On the other hand, Dennis seemed to have a more open-minded approach.
Jennylyn Mercado's husband explained: "Well ako naman, anong unang tatanungin ko if magkita man ulit - di ba matagal na magkasintahan, tapos may kanya-kanya ng personal na buhay - siguro tatanungin ko kung worth it pa ba kung iri-risk ko."
"Kung talagang mahal ko naman siguro siya, kung yun yung magpapaligaya sa akin, baka try ko. Pero kung hindi naman; maging sakit lang siya sa ulo ko, di ko na lang gagawin."
But do they have "what ifs" about their love lives?
Bea said: "Parang ayokong i-share sa inyo ang what if ko sa pag-ibig. Akin na lang."
If ever, she had this to say: "Hindi ako madalas mag what if kasi pagnagmahal ako binibigay ko ng buong-buo."
As for Dennis, he thinks having 'what ifs' about love is "too serious."
He related: "Mahirap kasi pag may what if ka. Parang may pagsisisi sa buhay. Like, hindi mo nagawa. Ako siguro hindi masyado maka-relate."
Then he jokingly added: "Kaya siguro ang what if ko... what if kung naging bading ako sa totoong buhay? Siguro, ang saya siguro nu'n, di ba? Ang landi ko sigurong bakla. Ang dami ko sigurong boyfriends."
Meanwhile, Bea and Dennis will be sharing the screen with Andrea Torres and Sid Lucero in “Love Before Sunrise."
Adding more depth to the story are Sef Cadayona, Rodjun Cruz, Vaness del Moral, Vince Maristela, Jose Sarasola, and Cheska Fausto."
The cast also includes some of the Philippines' most respected artists in film and television: Tetchie Agbayani, Ricky Davao, Jackie Lou Blanco, Isay Alvarez, Nadia Montenegro, and Matet de Leon."
