2nd day of 2023 Bar exams Sept. 20: 10,392 examinees

The number of examinees in the 2023 online and regionalized Bar examinations continued to dwindle as it entered its second day on Wednesday, Sept 20.

The Supreme Court’s (SC) public information office (PIO) said that as of 12 noon, only 10,392 of the 10,400 who completed the first day of the examinations last Sept. 17 were taking the exams.

Subjects covered in the Sept. 20 examinations were Civil Law from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and Labor Law and Social Legislation from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 24, the last day of the exams, Criminal Law and Remedial Law will be in the morning and Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises in the afternoon.

It is expected, as in previous examinations, that the number of examinees would further decrease on Sept. 24.

The SC had earlier announced that the results of the 2023 Bar exams would be release early December and the oath-taking and signing of the Rolls of Attorneys for the successful examinees to become full-fledged lawyers would be done before Christmas.

SC Justice Ramon Paul L. Hernando is the chairperson of the 2023 Bar examinations committee.
