Sales agent killed over land dispute in Quezon

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon – A 53-year-old sales agent was shot dead allegedly due to a land dispute on Friday evening, September 1, in Barangay Gapas, here.

Police identified the victim as Federico Tarusan of Barangay Gapas.

Investigation said the victim was about to ride his motorcycle when the suspect, Alexander Fontanilla, appeared from behind and shot him.

Tarusan sustained three bullets wounds from a caliber .45 pistol and was declared dead on arrival at Guinayangan Medical Community Hospital.

The suspect was arrested by responding lawmen and is now under their custody. A criminal complaint for murder will be filed against the suspect.
