Sara to serve as keynote speaker in Korea education event

​Vice President Sara Duterte is flying to South Korea on Wednesday, Sep. 20, for an education-related engagement.

Duterte, who is also the Department of Education (DepEd) secretary, will be in Seoul to attend the Global Education and Innovation Summit (GEIS).

Her office said the trip is upon the invitation of the South Korean government.

There, she will serve as one of the GEIS keynote speakers at an event to be held the following day.

​D​uterte will be joined by a You Can Be VP participant, a student from Danao City in Cebu​, her office added.
