Social media has greatly benefited Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes in their careers, but creating personal social media accounts for their children is not currently a priority.

You can view photos and videos of Marian and Dingdong's children enjoying themselves on their social media accounts, but the couple chooses to keep their children off social media until they are older.

"Walang social media account sila Zia and Sixto sa ngayon. Hindi muna namin sila pinayagan magkaroon. At saka busy naman si Zia, buong araw halos nasa school din siya," said Marian during the launch of her endorsement for Solmux Advance Suspension, held at the SM The Block in Quezon City last Sept. 16.

(Zia and Sixto don't have social media accounts at the moment. We didn't allow them to have one. Besides, Zia is busy; she's at school almost all day.)

When asked if her two adorable kids have gadgets like tablets and cellphones, Marian said: "May cellphone pero hindi naman ginagamit." (There is a cell phone, but it is not used.)

Marian said that she and Dingdong plan to allow their kids to have their own social media accounts when they reach their teen years. "Siguro kapag 13 or 15 years old na sila. Tignan natin." (Maybe when they are 13 or 15 years old. Let's see.)

Perhaps Marian and Dingdong are doing the right thing by restricting their kids' social media access, as their children excel in various activities.

In August, the seven-year-old daughter of Marian was named Most Outstanding  Swimmer in a competition. Zia also won a swimming medal from another sports meet last March. Zia also sings during her spare time.

Zia's younger brother, Sixto, is also athletic as he learns taekwondo.

Just recently, Marian earned the TikTok Queen title when netizens raved about her posts, which received millions of views.

“Nag post ako ng first dance, birthday ko, which was August 12. One month pa lang. Matagal ng sinasabi sa akin na mag-TikTok ako. May nag-suggest, ‘Bakit di ka sumayaw? Ayoko na sanang sumayaw. Nahihiya na ako. Pero sabi ko, ‘Try natin. To the left, to the right.’ Ayun na," she said.

Marian said her dream collaborator in TikTok would be her husband. "Pinipilit ko na siya, malapit ko ng ma-convince si Dong. Super proud naman talaga siya in anything that I do. Siya talaga ang dancer, back-up lang ako. Ginagaya na nga ni Zia. ‘Mama, to the left, to the right.’ She would tell me.”

Also, Marian revealed that she and Dingdong are set to start shooting for their 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Rewind," a collaboration between Star Cinema, Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment and Dantes’ Agosto Dos Media.

“Excited kami na nakapasok ang ‘Rewind’ sa film festival. Sana ibalik natin ang pagtangkilik sa pelikulang Pilipino," Marian said. “Nakakatuwa dahil alam mong bumabalik na ang pelikulang Pilipino. Ito na tayo ulit. Sana ang MMFF ngayon tangkilikin na talaga ng publiko.” She recalled reading the script of the movie for one hour. Later, she was teary-eyed.

Marian's entry will compete against “A Mother and a Son" (Sharon Cuneta), “When I Met You in Tokyo" (Vilma Santos-Recto), and possibly “Nokturno” (Nadine Lustre), “Pieta” (Nora Auor), and "In His Mother's Eyes" (Maricel Soriano).

Before "Rewind," Marian has started shooting for her upcoming television series.

“Hindi ko na yata alam ang anggulo ko. To be honest, nangapa ako. Ang hirap mag-adjust. Then memorizing the lines again. After ilang weeks, naka-adjust na ako. I am always looking forward to our taping.”

Marian also said she's excited to work with other Kapamilya stars in the future. "Kahit sino ‘yan, basta tama ang project, tama ang kwento at tama ang time, okay ako."

During the show, mall-goers paused to catch a glimpse of Marian's impressive dance performance. The event was also attended by Mikey Bustos and Dr. Kilimanguru with social media personalities such as CK De Leon, Charlize Ruth, and Dr. Dex Macalintal.

As a health advocate, Marian said she does not compromise her family's health, even cough. "It's like fire. It could get worse really fast. Cough with phlegm, if not addressed immediately, may lead to flu, pneumonia, or bronchitis. That's why it is important to have an advanced mindset. For my family, we always make sure that we have a good stock of Solmux Advance Suspension at home."
