5,743 pass criminologist licensure exam — PRC


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, Sept. 19, that 5,743 of the 17,576 examinees passed the August 2023 Criminologist Licensure Examination.

Jericson Balaba Jalagat of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College-Marbel topped the board exam on Aug. 25 with an average of 90.15 percent.

Kimberly Estrera Dayagro of Taguig City University (TCU) came in second with an average of 88.80 percent.

Eden Oleo Elcarte of Biliran Province State University-Naval and Jolinalyn Borce Gonzalvo of Saint Ferdinand College of Iligan tied for third place with an average of 88.70 percent.

Sander Senado of Visayan State University-Tolosa came in fourth with 88.60 percent, and Marjorie Pojas Aguanta of Bestlink College of the Philippines came in fifth with 88.55 percent.

The Criminologist Licensure Examination was conducted in 31 testing centers across the country.

The exam was facilitated by the Board of Criminology headed by its chairman Ramil Gabao, and members Lani Palmones and Warren Corpuz.

PRC said passers may register online for their Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration on Nov. 3., Nov. 6 to 10, and Nov. 13 to 15.

Detailed instructions for the initial registration process can be seen on the official PRC website.

Those who will register, however, are required to bring the downloaded duly accomplished oath form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," notice of admission, two pieces of passport-sized pictures (colored with white background, and a complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.

The PRC added that the date and venue of the oathtaking will be announced soon.
