2 'motornappers' nabbed in Tuguegarao City

CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police have arrested two suspected “motornappers.”

The suspects, alias “John” and “Ed,” allegedly stole a motorcycle owned by a security guard parked in front of a building here.

Lawmen mounted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspects.

John was apprehended in Barangay Carig Sur here. Suspect was identified through surveillance footages in the area where the motorcycle was stolen.

Ed, 30, was nabbed in a hot-pursuit operation in Zone 1, Bitag Grande, Baggao, this province.

Recovered from him were the stolen motorcycle, cellphone, improvised flat screw, three spray paints, white helmet, a pair of motorcycle gloves, two side mirrors, and motorcycle back bracket.

Suspects face charges for violating Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
