Taguig LGU stops endorsing police applicants

The Taguig City government has stopped giving endorsements to applicants for police officers at the Philippine National Police (PNP).

“Taguig City Hall will no longer accept requests for endorsements of applications and documents of PNP applicants to any police unit, including the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO),” the city government announced.

This after the PNP “has clarified that endorsements from local government units are not necessary in the application to become police officers.”

“Applicants should send their applications and documents straight to the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City or to the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig for processing,” according to the city government.

It added, “PNP applicants should enjoy speedier processing of their applications by directly dealing with the concerned PNP units.”
