Isolated rain showers, thunder, and lightning will be experienced in Luzon and Visayas while humid weather at noon with localized thunderstorms at night will be expected, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, Sept. 18.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will be expected in Mindanao due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) as per PAGASA.
"Intertropical Convergence Zone o ITCZ na may mga kaulapan ang siyang inaasahan nating magdadala ng mas malaking tyansa ng mga pag-ulan partikular na sa may malaking bahagi dito sa may Mindanao. (Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ with cloudy skies is expected to bring higher chance of rain showers particularly in huge portions of Mindanao)," PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
PAGASA also said that there is no Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), while there is a low chance for a tropical cyclone to develop in the next two to three days as per PAGASA.
"Wala po tayong mino-monitor na Low Pressure Area o bagyo sa loob o labas man ng Philippine area of responsibility. Posible in the next two to three days, maliit pa 'yung tyansa na magkaroon tayo ng bagyo. (We have no Low Pressure Area being monitored inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility. It is possible that in the next two to three days, the chance is low for the country to have a tropical cyclone)," Badrina added.
For the next three days, PAGASA said that generally fair weather will be expected in Metro Manila with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. (Lizst Torres Abello)
