The Pasay City government recognized the city’s third centenarian, Matea Lizaso Tugano, a resident of St. Augustine, Maricaban, Pasay City, on Saturday, Sept. 16.

According to Mayor Emi Calixto- Rubiano, Lola Mating, as she is fondly called by her neighbors, celebrated her 100th birthday on July 13.
Rubiano said Lola Mating, who has lived in Pasay City since she was eight years-old, was visited by Normita Castillo and Markyn Penazo from the Office of Senior Citizen Affairs to personally hand over to her the P100,000 cash gift and a birthday cake.
Castillo and Penazo also gave Lola Mating the Letter of Felicitation signed by President Marcos.
The mayor said Lola Mating is the third centenarian in the city who was given the recognition.
Rubiano assured the public of the city government's continued support for the elderly sector.
