BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.1 earthquake jolted Davao de Oro province on Monday morning, September 18.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor was recorded at 4:49 a.m. and its epicenter was four kilometers (kms) southeast of New Bataan town, Davao de Oro, and had a shallow depth of only two kms.
It was recorded at Intensity III in Nabunturan, the capital of Davao de Oro.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Southern Mindanao and Davao de Oro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the earthquake.
