Tingog Party-list, Speaker's office facilitate AICS payout to 2,000 beneficiaries in Zambales

The offices of Tingog Party-list and House Speaker Martin Romualdez have led the distribution of P5,000 in Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) each to 2,000 beneficiaries from persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and other vulnerable sectors of the 1st district of Zambales. 

Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez personally carried out the distribution in cooperation with Zambales 1st district Rep. Jay Khonghun and the Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD) under Sec. Rex Gatchalian. It took place at the Subic Sports Complex 

Aside from the AICS payout, Tingog Party-list also gave away raffle prizes, including grocery packages, sacks of rice, electric fans, rice cookers, refrigerators, smart TVs, and bicycles, The major prizes were two motorcycles. 

Comedian-artist Lassy and Verna, a former co-host of Wowowin, provided entertainment fun, and excitement to the people before the event officially started. 

Beneficiaries of the AICS payout included PWDs, solo parents, and other groups such as Tulungan ang Bayan at Kabuhayan (TABAK) members. 

The TABAK organization is composed pf members from a variety of local industries, including the transport groups of Zambales' 1st district. 

During the event, Rep. Romualdez couldn't help but express how strongly she felt the warm welcome of Zambaleños. 

""Ibang klase ang mga taga-Subic talaga, ang lakas ng hiyaw--babalik na lang kami ulit (Subic residents are on a different level, your voices are so loud--we'll come back here)," she said. Incidentally, Tingog means "voice" in Bisaya. 

House Speaker Romualdez, husband of Rep. Romualdez, is the constant partner of Tigong in its outreach projects.Also representing Tingog in the House is Rep. Jude Acidre. 

Aside from Rep. Romualdez and Khonghun, also in attendance were Castillejos Mayor Jeffrey Khonghun, a former 1st district representative; and Subic Mayor Jonathan Khonghun.
