CABARROGUIS, Quirino – Department of Public Works and Highways-Quirino District Engineering Office (DPWH-QDEO) District Engineer Arnold Sabug said this province sustained P2.6 million in damage to infrastructure from typhoon “Goring.”
Sabug these infrastructure will be documented and proposed for emergency funding.
Initial assessment by the DPWH-QDEO said a 36-meter carriageway and a 37-meter slope protection structure on the Cordon-Aurora Boundary Road in Dismungal, Nagtipunan, collapsed.
A drainage was also damaged on the NRJ Villa Sur-San Pedro-Cabua-an Road in Maddela.
Goring also closed several road lanes and maintenance personnel have been deployed and installed hazard and traffic signs to warn motorists.
"We are lucky that none of our major projects was affected by the super typhoon,” Sabug said.
