TINGLAYAN, Kalinga – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera uprooted marijuana worth P3.4 million in a three-day eradication operation in Barangay Butbut here from September 14 to 16.
PDEA-Cordillera Director Julius Paderes said they discovered two plantations with a total land area of 17,000-square meters.
Paderes said 17,000 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site.
No cultivator was arrested but Paderes thanked partner law enforcement agencies for supporting PDEA-Cordillera in their marijuana eradication campaign.
