Marcos tells young Pinoy: Dream big

Dream big.

This was what President Marcos told a young Filipino who aspires to be a president someday.

Marcos was responding to a letter sent to him by a young Filipino from Cotabato City in his vlog where he featured letters sent to him, mostly birthday greetings, by supporters and kids who visited the MalacaÃ±an Palace.

"Someday I also want to be a President like you. I hope to meet you, have a great and wonderful day," the letter read.

The President acknowledged the message and encouraged him to keep reaching the dream.

"Tama 'yan. You dream big at basta't wag mong titigilan hanggang makuha mo yung iyong naging pangarap, at kakayanin mo (That's right. You dream big and do not stop until you achieve your dream, and you can do it)," Marcos told the letter sender.

"Thank you very much for your kind words," he added.

In his six-minute long vlog, Marcos read letters written for him for his 66th birthday.

This was his second time celebrating his birthday since assuming the presidency in 2022. He is the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines after winning the 2022 elections with overwhelming 31 million votes.
