Bacolod diocese encourages faithful to attend Mass physically
Following the government's decision to lift the Covid-19 public health emergency, the Diocese of Bacolod encouraged the faithful to actively and physically attend the Mass as the live streaming of the Mass will be regulated by the end of this month.

In a statement from the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on Sept. 16, Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon issued a decree that live streaming of the Mass will be regulated effective Sept. 24.
"In light of these positive developments, we are informing all parishes, chaplaincies, and private oratories that the live streaming and broadcasting of Masses will be discontinued," Buzon said.
He reminded the faithful that participating in Mass through media, such as live streams or broadcasts, would no longer "fulfill the obligation of attending Mass under normal circumstances."
However, the decree also made an exception for the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass at the San Sebastian Cathedral, which will continue to be live-streamed for the benefit of the sick and homebound.
Parishes and chaplaincies are allowed to broadcast their Sunday Masses, but only for those who are sick or have physical limitations that prevent them from being physically present.
Bishop Buzon also announced a change in the practice of reciting the act of spiritual communion aloud during communion for the faithful in attendance.
Citing a circular of the CBCP, Buzon added that "it will be projected on-screen for those who are joining online.”
