Eight individuals were arrested by Marikina City police officers in separate drug bust operations on Sept. 13.
Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta identified the suspects as "Mary Jane," 49, a sewer; "Toro," 49; "Allaine," 41, listed under the EPD Unified Drugs Watchlist (UDW); "Allan," 32, an angkas rider; "Xandra," 25; "Marcy," 33, a private caregiver; "Nar," 56; and "Mike," 50, also under the EPD UDW.
Prior to their arrests, all suspects were surveilled by police operatives from the Marikina station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Mary Jane, Toro, and Allaine were nabbed in a buy bust operation in Barangay Tumana at 12:20 a.m.
Some 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P10,000 were seized from the suspects.
Later in the day, police arrested Allan, Zandra, Marcy, Nar, and Mike at around 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Barangka.
Alleged shabu weighing 30 grams, with a market value of P204,000 was recovered.
All suspects are detained at the Marikina custodial facility.
They are facing charges for illegal sale and possession drugs in accordance with the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
