Senior citizen found dead in Talisay City

BACOLOD CITY – A elderly man was found dead in Hacienda Otilla, Barangay Efegenio, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Friday, September 15.

Police Major Wilfredo Benoman Jr., deputy chief of the Talisay City Police Station, said the unidentified victim suffered a head injury but they could not confirm yet if it was from a gunshot.

Benoman said the victim might have been killed somewhere and dumped in the area.

A farm worker who passed by the area found the victim.

He said that gunshots were reportedly heard by residents in the area but there were no fired bullets found in the crime scene.

The victim is yet to be identified.
