QCPD seizes more than P1-M marijuana from 3 drug suspects

Operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches Station (PS 4) seized P1,080,000 worth of alleged marijuana from three drug suspects on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The PS 4 identified the suspects as Elton John Pangilinan, 24; Christian Paul San Jose, 27; and Rhay Van Lumanog, 22, all residents of Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches.

PS 4 launched the entrapment operation against the suspects at Quirino Highway, Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches at around 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 after receiving information from a concerned citizen about their illegal drug activities in the area.
Police said the suspects were nabbed after a policeman who posed as a buyer successfully purchased P35,000 worth of alleged marijuana from them.
Seized from the suspects were around nine kilograms of marijuana, a piece of cling wrap plastic bag, a big eco bag, a weighing scale, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
