PH records 182 new Covid-19 cases, total cases reach 4,112,293
The Department of Health (DOH) reported 182 new Covid-19 cases in the Philippines, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 4,112,293.

There were no new Covid-19-related deaths reported this week, as per the DOH.
The DOH Covid-19 Tracker data revealed that 156 individuals have recovered from the virus, pushing the total number of recoveries to 4,042,899.
However, the DOH stated that there were still 2,709 active cases as of Sept. 15.
In terms of healthcare facilities, the DOH reported 1,826 available ICU beds, with 213 (10.45 percent) occupied.
Non-ICU beds total 19,225, with 2,842 (14.78 percent) in use, while mechanical ventilators, numbering 2,164, have 93 currently in use by Covid-19 patients.
The DOH emphasized the importance of staying informed in the ongoing fight against Covid-19, despite encouraging developments.
The public is urged to maintain basic health precautions, including wearing well-fitting facemasks, staying in well-ventilated areas, isolating if symptomatic, and promptly receiving Covid-19 vaccines and boosters for added protection. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
