PDEA nabs top drug suspect, 3 others in Valenzuela City buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) dismantled a drug den on Friday, Sept. 15, with the arrest of a top drug suspect and his three alleged cohorts during a buy-bust operation in Valenzuela City.

After receiving a tip from an informant, the PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region-Southern District Office carried out the operation in Barangay Malinta at around 3 p.m. and arrested Marites Bondoc, 44, Lorelie Prospero, 44, Eduardo Bondoc, 36 and Apollo Silvestre, 20.

Marites Bondoc is listed in the PDEA and Philippine National Police (PNP) drug watchlist.

During the operation, the PDEA agents seized five grams of suspected shabu from the buy-bust, more or less 15 grams of shabu in the drug den, assorted drug paraphernalia and a genuine P500 bill with serial number JS676079.

The suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
