The city government of Parañaque conducted a “Bayanihan Clean-Up Drive para sa Kalikasan” on Friday, Sept. 15, to mark the International Coastal Clean-up Day.
Mayor Eric Olivarez led the conduct of the activity at the coastal seaside boardwalk at Okada, Manila.
He said the activity is a joint project of the City Environment and National Resources Office (CENRO), and the Cleanliness and Beautification and Sanitation Office under the supervision of his wife, Aileen Claire Olivarez.
Okada Manila Security and Safety Division under retired police Gen. Debold Sinas, Parañaque City police, Philippine Coast Guard and Maritime police joined the activity.
Olivarez said the clean-up drive was meant to take care of the environment through cleaning and garbage collection along waterways, streets, estero, river and the ocean.
