Fire Officer 3 Ken Anthony Sandico, shift commander of the Talisay City Fire Station, said they received a fire call past 4 p.m.
Sandico said the fire station in Barangay Granada here was the first to respond due to the location of the place in the boundary of this city and Talisay.
He said no livestock was harmed as the farm was empty when the fire broke out.
Sandico said the fire immediately spread to other parts of the farm constructed out of light materials.
He said that farm workers witnessed the incident and conducted a bucket brigade to help put out the fire.
No injuries were reported among employees and firefighters.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of fire which did not reach an adjacent poultry farm.
Fire out was declared at 4:53 p.m., according to Sandico.
