Man dies in motorcycle-bus collision

SANTIAGO, Ilocos Sur – A 42-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a bus on the national highway in Barangay Caburao here on Saturday, September 16.

Police identified the victim as Albert M. Costales, resident of Barangay Bagani Ubbog, Candon City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim’s fast-moving motorcycle occupied the northbound lane and rammed the Florida Bus driven by Joefrey P. Tabora, 39, of Barangay Callungan, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan.

Costales was  taken to a hospital where he was declared dead due to serious injuries. 

All passengers of the bus were safe.

Follow-up police probe is ongoing.
