The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood control project along Salay Creek to ensure the safety of residents in Dipaculao, Aurora during the rainy season.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said the completed project involves a 1.33-lineal-kilometer box culvert reinforced by retaining walls.

“The flood wall now protects the lives and properties of locals in times of extreme rains,” said Bonoan.
He added that the structure also prevents agricultural lands from water overflow, which contributes to food security and stable agricultural economies in the area.
Implemented by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO), the construction of the flood wall had a P34.3 million fund under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA). (Trixee Rosel)
