Warm, humid over most of PH this weekend

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said most of the country may experience warm and humid weather conditions this weekend due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

In its weekly weather outlook issued on Friday, Sept. 15, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” may shift westward, leading to the prevalence of the easterlies.

The easterlies may affect most of the country, bringing warm and humid weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.

This weather scenario may persist until Wednesday, Sept. 20, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, by Thursday, Sept. 21, a low pressure area (LPA) may form east of Luzon, which may again enhance the southwest monsoon.

“This may bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, and Western Visayas,” PAGASA said.

“Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening,” it also said.
