SK official in Cebu City charged for sexually abusing boy

CEBU CITY – Criminal charges were filed against a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) official of Barangay Apas here.

Lloyd Genon Yosoya, 28, was charged for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 11648 or an Act Promoting for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

Yosoya, who is the SK Secretary of Apas, refused to comment when reporters sought his side on the issue.

He said he has yet to see the complaint against him.

The complaint against Yosoya was filed by a 15-year-old boy.

The victim alleged that he was sexually abused by the suspect when he visited him in his boarding house in Apas sometime in June.

He said the incident caused him “anxiety and fear” that prompted him to report the abuse to the police.

The victim was accompanied by his mother when he reported the alleged abuse to the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Mabolo Police Station on August 30.
