“I am very happy with the success of this project. This is already the sixth house that we turned over as part of the project. Every quarter, we sponsor this project. We are thankful to Col. Lorenzo Batuan and the whole BPPO force for initiating this project,” said Aumentado.
Also supporting the project are the Bohol Tourist Police Unit, Trinidad Municipal Police Station, and the local government unit of Trinidad led by Mayor Roberto Cajes.
Aumentado and his wife, Bohol Rep. Vanessa Aumentado, had donated P210,000 to support the BPPO project of constructing houses for three beneficiaries.
The BPPO housing project is in line with the Kasimbayanan (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) program of the Philippine National Police.
In his speech, Aumentado said he is hoping that the newly constructed house will give hope to the family of Añora.
Añora is already wheelchair-bound after he was hit in the leg in a shooting incident early this year. “I want to thank the BPPO for this Libreng Alagad ug Balay. This is a big help for us,” said Añora.
