Police nab Rizal province's most wanted in Antipolo City


The Antipolo City Police announced the arrest of the province's most wanted person for committing acts of lasciviousness inside a mall on Thursday, Sept. 14, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said.

The suspect was identified as Kingslhy Bernardo, 34, and a resident of Sitio Maligaya in Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.

Rizal PPO OIC PCol. Rainerio De Chavez said Bernardo was tagged as the Most Wanted Person (provincial level).

The suspect was arrested following Rizal PPO's “Oplan Pabili Nga Po” inside a mall in Antipolo City on Sept. 13.

According to De Chavez, Bernardo has been in hiding for five months and his arrest was made possible by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for the crime of Lascivious Conduct under Sec. 5 (B) of RA 7610 after molesting his underaged stepdaughter on April 21.

The WOA was signed by Regional Trial Court, Antipolo City Branch 72 Acting Presiding Judge Hon. Joel Bantasan and has a recommended bail of P200,000

The suspect is now detained at the Rizal CIDG Custodial Facility.
