The eight-division boxing world champion and one of the country’s most successful athletes is exploring his options on how he can compete in the upcoming 2024 Olympics which begins in July in Paris.
In 2016, professional boxers have been allowed to compete in the quadrennial tournament.
From his native General Santos City, the former senator initially flew to Manila at the tender age of 16 to pursue boxing as a national team member but couldn’t make the cut and was forced to go straight to the pro rank to earn himself a living.

“Waiting for that,” he said.
