Following the success of the basketball side, the Pacquiao-founded volleyball league will launch the women’s category first before expanding to the men’s side by next year and eventually adding more teams in tow.
“I’m hoping this inaugural season ng MPVA ay maging unforgettable moment tulad ng first season ng MPBL. Napaka raming suporta ang natanggap ng liga sa iba’t ibang sulok ng bansa,” the former senator said.
Pacquiao reiterated that MPVA will also be focusing on the grassroots level like the MPBL which just recently launched the junior division.
According to the team representatives, the games from each LGU team is most likely to be free to the public and no necessary ticket purchase will be needed.
Teams are due to play back-to-back games on Wednesdays and Thursdays as well as Saturdays and Sundays.
