555 out of 886 examinees pass September 2023 librarians licensure exam — PRC


A total of 555 out of 886 takers passed the September 2023 Librarians Licensure Examination (LLE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Friday, Sept. 15.

With an average of 88.85 percent, Zamylle Ross Belaro Celso from the University of the East (UE)- Manila topped the LLE conducted on Sept. 15.

Ana Lizette Santos Curitana (88.45 percent) from the National Teacher's College and Floralene Fe Caberoy Marquez (88.40 percent) from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, Inc. notched the second and third ranks, respectively.

Meanwhile, John Zechariah Tendencia Basul (88.35) from Philippine Normal University (PNU)- Manila secured the fourth spot, and Lemuel Capulong Solano (88.05 percent) from the University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD) took the fifth rank.

The examination took place in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

It was facilitated by the Board for Librarians headed by its chairman, Yolanda C. Granda, and member Lourdes T. David.

PRC said passers may register online for their Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration from Oct. 18 to 19.

Passers can view the instructions for registration at prc.gov.ph.

Furthermore, the requirements for registration include a downloaded duly accomplished oath form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," notice of admission, two pieces of passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope.

PRC said the date and venue of the librarian inductees' oathtaking will be announced soon.
