CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A man was killed and his two companions were wounded in a shooting incident in Barangay Pansol here on Thursday night, September 14.
Police identified the fatality as Jerome Timoteo of Manila and the wounded as Ken Arvie Libardo, 33, of Caloocan City and Dayline Taclay, also of Manila.
Initial investigation said the victims and two others – Kasmir Cudiamat, 32, of Quezon City, and Johnsen Carsa Cruz, 23, from Manila – were onboard a Sports Utility Vehicle and stopped by a convenience store to buy food.
A gray sedan appeared and unidentified men disembarked and opened fire at the victims.
Timoteo died on the spot and the wounded were taken to the hospital by Barangay Pansol rescuers.
Police recovered 44 empty shells of an unknown firearm.
Suspects fled and the subject of police follow-up operations and investigation.
