Navotas gov't opens application for arts scholarship

The Navotas City government on Wednesday , Sept. 14, opened the NavotaAs Arts Scholarship application for students with talents in dancing, visual, music, theater arts, and creative writing for the school year 2023-2024.

The applications will be held until Friday, Sept. 15, and interested students may check the qualifications, application form, and requirements at https://tinyurl.com/NSP-ART2023.

According to the city government, the applicants should be 13-21 years; registered voters in the city (or their parents/guardians); enrolled in any high school in Navotas or any university in Metro Manila; and have passing grades in all their subjects for school year 2022-2023.

It said that the application forms and required documents including their birth certificates, Permanent School Record Forms or Form 137, good moral character, and original barangay clearance must be submitted to Ms. Esperanza M. Tecson at the Business Stop One Shop (BOSS) located at the first floor of Navotas City Hall.

An applicants' orientation for the scholarship will be held on Sept. 18, while live auditions and interviews for the aspiring scholars will be conducted on Sept. 23.
