"He will be back on Sunday," Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil told reporters in Manila on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Marcos is currently on a "working visit" in Singapore. He flew there on Wednesday, the same day he was celebrating his 66th birthday.

He made the visit to participate at the Asia Summit 2023. He also met with business leaders in a roundtable meeting to strengthen economic ties and further forge possible partnerships between the two economies in select industries.

The President will also attend the finals of Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2023 upon the invitation of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the Malacañang said.

His trip to Singapore came less than a week after his Indonesian trip for the 43rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

This is Marcos' third trip to Singapore since he assumed the presidency.

He first went to Singapore in September last year for a state visit and went back a month later for the F1 Grand Prix, which, he said, was "the best way to drum up business."

Marcos then said that he was "invited alongside several dignitaries" and "met new business friends who showed that they are ready and willing to invest in the Philippines."

The Singapore trip in 2022 was not announced to the public.
