Las Piñas City Vice-Mayor April Aguilar led the conduct of simultaneous medical missions and feeding program in celebration of President Marcos' birthday on Wednesday, September 13.

Aguilar said the City Health Office under Dr. Julie Gonzalez conducted medical missions in Barangays CAA and Pilar.

Thousands of residents in both barangays, mostly senior citizens, availed of the free medical consultations with healthcare professionals onsite to address a range of health concerns.

The vice-mayor said the beneficiaries also received free medicines and vitamins donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Aguilar said the distribution of free medicines and vitamins was made to ensure that aside from the professional advice, the patients will also have the necessary resources to manage their health conditions.

The City Nutrition Office (CNO) complemented the CHO's health services by bringing its mobile kitchen to feed the children and the adult patients at the medical mission with nutritious meals.

The vice-mayor said around 2,000 children received nutritious meals as part of the initiative, contributing to the city's ongoing efforts to combat malnutrition and food insecurity.
