Cavite police conferred 'Institutionalized' status, Silver Eagle Award

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) was conferred the Performance Governance System (PGS) Institutionalized Status in a ceremony in Gen. Trias City on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The provincial office also received a Silver Eagle Award for garnering a 91.08 percent rating in the evaluation.

Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A) Director Brig. Gen. Carlito M. Gaces led the conferment ceremony attended by Deputy Regional Director for Administration Brig. Gen. Gregory B. Bogñalbal, Chief Regional Staff Col. Mariano C. Rodriguez, and Cavite PPO Director Col. Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr.

Cavite Gov. Jonvic C. Remulla served as a special guest at the event.

“My sincerest appreciation for all the people who worked behind this remarkable recognition,” Ricardo said.

“Now that we have come to the final stage, rest assured that we will continue to promote a high quality of public service and we’ll remain resilient in serving the citizenry with utmost dedication.”

Remulla, meanwhile, mentioned initiatives to further strengthen security in the province.

“'Yung CCTV system natin, maitatayo na (Our CCTV system will soon be built), it will be the most advanced in the entire country, itong (in) December,” the governor announced.

He also revealed a personal appeal he intends to present to the National Police Commission

“Ang Cavite PPO, gawin nang Cavite Provincial District para sarili nang district ang Cavite (To turn Cavite PPO into Cavite Provincial District so that Cavite will have its own district),” Remulla said.

“Kung iisipin n'yo naman, ang Southern Police District, kung ikumpara niyo sa Cavite PPO, ay times 10 yata ang laki ng responsibility (If you think about it, the Southern Police District, Cavite PPO might have 10 times the responsibility).”

Remulla reminded the members of the Cavite PPO to remain dedicated to their mission and to serve as good examples to aspiring officers at the Philippine National Police Academy, located in Cavite.
